About the 2025 Japanese Language Education Support Program

Applications for this year's program, which was launched last year to support those involved in heritage Japanese language education across the United States, will begin on Tuesday, September 2nd.

The program outline is as follows:


Book Donation Project

The Center will donate educational books and children's books as requested. Each application will receive up to $1,000 in support.

Please carefully read the implementation guidelines and submit your application form to (jared_mcclellan@jpf.go.jp) by Saturday, January 31, 2026. *Support cannot be provided in conjunction with the event support project.


Event support

We will support Japanese language-related events (study groups, workshops, presentations, seasonal events, speech contests, etc.) with the aim of promoting heritage Japanese language education, up to a maximum of $1,000

Project Grant

The grant will provide support of up to $5,000 to cover part of the costs of various activities related to Japanese language education, including holding workshops, seminars, and conferences, as well as developing teaching materials and conducting research and studies.
