2023 JLPT

The 2023 JLPT will be held on Sunday, December 3. There will be 18 testing locations, and all 5 levels of the test, from N1 to N5, will be offered at each location. Registration this year will start out staggered with the following schedule:

  • N1: 8月7日・月曜日 9am PDT
  • N2: 8月10日・木曜日 9am PDT
  • N3: 8月17日・木曜日 9am PDT
  • N4: 8月19日・土曜日 9am PDT
  • N5: 8月21日・月曜日 9am PDT

The Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) is a test for non-native speakers of Japanese which evaluates and certifies their Japanese-language proficiency. In 2015, 652,519 people took the test in 69 countries and areas worldwide. It is the largest Japanese-language test in the world.
