This page contains information for those taking the test in Los Angeles only. Other test sites may have different instructions. The Los Angeles test site this year will be at 5700 Wilshire BLVD. To participate in the JLPT, you will need to be fully vaccinated or have a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of the start of the test. All test takers will be required to wear a mask at all times regardless of vaccination/COVID019 test status as required by our building management. If you have any COVID-19 symptoms on the day of the test you need to stay home. We reserve the right to deny you entry for the test.
To ensure a smooth transition when checking in, we ask all test takers to have their proof of vaccination as well as voucher and ID ready to present to our staff before entering the test room.
Acceptable forms of proof include:
• Original, copy, or electronic photo of the CDC vaccination card
• Personal digital COVID-19 vaccine record issued by the State of California
• Personal digital COVID-19 vaccine record issued by another State, local, or foreign governmental jurisdiction.
• Personal digital COVID-19 vaccine record issued by an approved private company
• Any government-issued photo ID is acceptable. In lieu of this we can accept school and work IDs (Names must match on ID, Voucher, and Vaccine Proof/COVID-19 Test).
Registered test takers who are not fully vaccinated will need to present a negative COVID-19 test as an alternative to proof of vaccination. The negative test result must be for a test taken within 72 hours of the start of the test. Both nucleic acid (including polymerase chain reaction (PCR)) and antigen tests are acceptable, but take-home tests will not be accepted.
Fully vaccinated means the person has received both doses of either the Pfizer or Moderna COVID-19 vaccines, or received one dose of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine.
