NHK TV Programs for Japanese Classrooms 2002 is the overseas edition of new video material (in the U.S. only) and has been complied with the cooperation of NHK International, Inc.  Users may borrow the material from the Nihongo Library.

 

1. Aim of the Material
                                                                                 
This video supplies those who study the Japanese language with colloquial Japanese and was planned to rouse their interest in Japan, especially that of the younger generation.
 
2. Contents of the Material
                                     
Three(3) videotapes:
Part 1. The drama Rokubanme no Sayoko (The Sixth Sayoko)
Part 2. The animated cartoon Azuki-chan
Part 3. Minna no uta (Songs for Everyone)
Two versions of the pictures, the original and the same pictures with English or Spanish subtitles, are put in Part 1 and Part 2.
 
Attachments: Two teacher's manuals, of which the Japanese original appears with the English translation on the facing page, compiled under the supervision of Prof. Tsuneo Hasegawa, with the cooperation of Ms. Mami Doi and Ms. Toshiko Hosaka.
 
3. Conditions for Borrowing the Material¡¡
 
·            NHK Program for Japanese Classroom 2002 can be lent to institutions/teachers offering Japanese language courses only for the purpose of language learning, such as for lessons or lectures.
·            Users who would like to borrow this material must fill out the lending application form each time they want to borrow it.
·            Copying, modifying, and renting of the NHK Program for Japanese Classrooms 2002 to the third parties are strictly prohibited. Do not distribute it on communication networks or broadcast it in public.
·            A loan period is for a maximum of three months. There is no extension policy for the loan period. All materials must be returned to the Nihongo Library at the Japan Foundation, Los Angeles by the end of a loan period.
