In 2010 a new format for the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) will be introduced. There will be an additional level added between the old levels 2 and 3 to increase the total number of levels to 5. Additional changes to the structure and grading of the test along with minor changes in difficulty will also be included.
