Breeze Online Magazine


The Breeze Magazine was first published in December of 2002 by the Japan Foundation, Los Angeles and targets Japanese language teachers in the United States. It was distributed four times a year and had a circulation of 7500 in North America. During Spring of 2007, Breeze become an online magazine and is currently being published three times a year. Currently, Breeze is updated in January, May, and September of each year and you can view the current issue at the URL below. All past issues are also included as some may contain useful reference material.

Advocacy Materials


Due to the current economic conditions, many programs are being cut from public schools in all regions of the United States. To assist teachers advocate the teaching of the Japanese-language, we have assembled a list of materials to help promote language learning. This includes the Advocacy Kit 2nd Edition along with the Advocacy Flyer, which was developed by the Japan Foundation, Los Angeles. All the materials are downloadable from the following URL and hard copies can be ordered free of charge.

The Japan Foundation, Los Angeles occasionally produces special Publications for certain events. Most of these are online publications such as our "Wahoo Magazine," "Weekend Homestay Guide," and our "Technology Materals for Teachers of the Japanese Language." The Japan Foundation, Headquarters publishes a wide variety of materials to help individuals, teachers, and organizations with all aspects of the language learning process. They produce learning materials, journals, teaching materials, books, bulletins, textbooks, dictionaries, wordbooks, cultural guides, reports, and a variety of other materials related to Japanese language and culture exchange. A majority of these books need to be purchased and you can find out more information on these good from the URL below. The Japan Foundation, Los Angeles and New York offices do not sell these products through our website.
