During June and July, we will be delivering Japanese contemporary dance performance directly to your room virtually! Yo Nakamura, a marvelous contemporary dancer/choreographer, will be presenting a series of various approaches to your body and mind. In each performance, she will be doing different dances at different locations.
Her stage is full of freedom of expression, including some comical skits, emotional shouting, talking, drawing, and so much more. She boldly mixes her dynamic physical movements with a variety of pop music and other random forms of artwork.
Within her 10 year career, this is going to be her first full performance in front of American audiences! She has been invited to Europe and Asia several times, and once participated in Avril Lavigne’s music video.
We believe this is a rare opportunity for you to see a live performance by a Japanese artist as it has been months since most theaters in this country has been closed and people are unable to travel internationally.
During this challenging time, we are proud to virtually connect you and bring Yo to audiences here in the states. We really wanted to reach out to those who currently live far away from theaters. This is something you don’t want to miss. Please stay tuned!
