Quick
Reference Table
How
you set up Microsoft IME (Input Method Editor) on your OS depends on what
versions of OS and application software you have on your computer. You
need to know first which type in the following table you belong to. If
you do not fall in to any of these types, you unfortunately cannot take
advantage of this IME. You may want to try some other free software such
as NJ Star.

| Known
Problems on Windows NT4.0/95/98/ME |
|
There
are some difficulties and inconveniences in Global IME on Windows
NT4.0/95/98/ME, because full-featured Japanese input support is
not built into these versions of OS. The know problems are: |
| |
| (1)
Only a limited number of application software will work. |
| (2)
There is only one font. |
| (3)
Incompatibility with some kinds of printers. Not all printers can
print out Japanese documents input by Global IME on these versions
of OS. |
